Jen Jewell Brown! Poet extraordinaire. The fact that your children are taller than you is no excuse for depriving us of your most magnificent poetry. Have fun!

Oh wicked, wicked ways of wandering out west, West Australia. My eyes are red with tears and dust and I am still trying to process what I've seen. My mouth is full of red dust too I am dumb with it. Dumb trying to make sense of this strange fated road where western red kangaroos lie felled and flies sing. Now it is 3.30. At 3.33 I will go to bed, go to bed, go to bed ...

Your response to Paul is a moving piece of poetry. I do hope you will share at least some of your experiences, and maybe even suggest how folks like myself can help to make sense of it all.

Well, to tell you the truth, my friend and I found a woman on the side of the road who had been violently raped.

For a few years I have been considering writing a book about rape.

I have got the message that I am supposed to write at least an essay. I'm exploring that idea.
